Fuel sucked ass. It looked like he was using a vocal track because he was still singing the lyrics when his mouth stopped after his dumbass fucked up his own damn song. More than half the songs sounded like shit. I went in this concert thinking of Fuel as an ok band, but I left thinking they are the worst band I've seen at the Verison Wireless Musice Center ever!
Fuel rocked!!! And how awesome was it that they got 20,000 people to be silent for 10 seconds to remember Sept 11 and hurricane vics. Way to go guys!!!!!
fuel didn't do the moment of silence. it's funny because the original drummer from fuel quit and said that they sang to a voice trak. if you want to give credit to any of the bands, the whole 2nd stage along with shinedown (actually did the moment of silence) and disturbed get all the credit. fuel's stuff was good when i was in the 8th grade and come to think of it, that's about the only songs that they sang. here's to hoping they don't come back again!!
I love Fuel. I heard, too, that use a vocal track. If you paid attention to the songs, some were great, but the sounded just like the CDs, which almost never happens. Also, during hte song "Untitled", when he was singing the chorus, he sounded like shit, but the rest of the song was great. Too bad...I guess I loved them so much at The Vogue because his vocal track was rocking us, not his voice. So sad...
Fuel was good but i was sunsick at that point and had to laydown so i could rock out to Disturbed. I dont know i might have enjoyed fuel more if wasn,t ill at that point
Fuel was awesome. To those who said he was using a backing track obviously not bcause when the mic went out you still couldn't hear him sing or a backing track. I hope X103 keeps bringing Fuel back. Keep on Rocking Fuel!!
hmmm... well a couple songs were ok.. but i have to say they didnt do so well as opposed to other shows.. oh well hopefully they will do better next year..
I thought Fuel put on a good show. I liked their show at the Vogue better because it was more personal. I was really disappointed that they cancelled their autograph session, though.
TO THE ANONYMOUS WHO LISTENED TO FUEL IN 8TH GRADE. FUEL RELEASED NATURAL SELECTION IN SEPT. 2003. SO ARE YOU IN 10TH GRADE NOW?CONSIDERING THEY DON'T HAVE A "CURRENT" CD OUT AND WERE INVITED TO PLAY X-FEST MUST MEAN SOMETHING.I THINK I HEAR YOUR MOMMY CALLING YOU!
Ok, I'm sorry that Fuel hasn't released an album since I was in the 12th grade. They played like 2 songs tops off that cd and you just made yourself look stupid because it's been well over 2 years since they have put anything new out. I guess they are getting that vocal track just perfect. Anyone else think that the lead singer was trying to be Scott Weiland? Yeah, they sucked big time!! Them and Ashlee Simpson should team up.
Don't everybody get their panties in a uproar. I believe all of you saw 8 damn good bands for next to nothing. Maybe you should think of it that way!! And to all the crack heads that kept starting fires, THAT IS THE KIND OF SHIT THAT GETS SHOWS CANCELLED. THINK OF THAT NEXT TIME. Moss pit goers, you ROCK thanks for the show!! Heather
To all those out there who thinks Fuel sucked on Sat well, So do you!!! They rocked their asses along with 15,000 people. OH, and Brett is a hottie....Please come back!!!!!
One more thing. When he messed up the words to his song you can tell he wasn't using a vocal track..Don't hate the player hate the game jealous asses.....I'm with the girl about starting fires. How retarded are you?? XFEST is the best show of the summer and stupid asses like you will get it cancelled. Thanks X103 for a great show!!!!
why waste your time trashing this band? If you don't like them it is because you like bands that can play all their own songs live for real and you are not some pathetic groupie. Just leave the little brett cock sucking girls alone and we can go listen to musicians who can really sing all their songs live! Jeeez, don't be rude.
BTW, vocal tracks are used on Natural Selection songs, cuz they are just too hard for trailer trash boy to sing.
just wanted to know when all of a sudden everyone became audio engineers.do you all know what voice tracking is?do you know about actual delays when your at a concert?didn't think so.for all with the negative comments did you get your did you get your knowledge working at burger king?
i can't stop laughing at how stupid some of you are, fancy ditching a band online, because EVERYONE cares about your opinion...
it's okay though i understand your pain, you know maybe one year your fav group hanson WILL play or you know you can see them in concert so you can sit back be happy :)
the comments of the 15 year old girl above has caused me great pain. I think I will go cry now. NO NO NO wait, BLOW ME BITCH. AHHH, there I feel better now :)
I am an Audio Engineer, and it's not uncommon for a live band to use a vocal backing track. Generally this track is at about 10-15% volume. It is used mainly to keep everyone in time.
I would venture to say that 50-75 % of all touring bands use a backing track in one shape or the other. Some have a low level backup, other have it playing in one ear piece while the live event is playing in the other.
Some bands like *Cough* Ashlee Simpson. Ruin thier voice on one leg of a tour and vocal track at 80-90 % for the entire concert. Then you have chronic abuse of vocal tracking such as the 80's band Milli Vanilli.
In short I really only see a problem with the last 2. We love to see our favorite bands live and sometimes they have to improv a bit, the show must go on. Just because they are stars doesnt mean real life ceases to exist for them. They get colds, they get the flu, their voices go out.
How much more pissed off would you be had the show been canceled?
Think about these things before you bash a band for having "The Show Go On"
