GoPro HD Camera Test – Skateboarding 1

I recently ordered and received a GoPro HD camera. These are sweet little HD cameras with a very wide viewing angle that are built for action sports use. They are waterproof, bomb proof and have a number of mounts for helmets, chest mounts, rollbar mounts, etc.

I was very excited to get this camera and have already ordered a number of accessories for it. Unfortunately I had to wait a few days before the weather was good enough to test it out on something other than just driving around in my car.

I headed to the Zionsville skatepark on a cold but sunny afternoon and dropped into the bowl. I had the GoPro HD camera strapped to my head for a truly first person view. Check out the video.

Unfortunately… I didn’t check my battery life before heading over there… so my battery died after my first run. I was really mad at myself. I’m hoping to go back and test a variety of other shots with this camera.

I was very pleased with the quality and overall stability of the video. I can’t wait to use this camera next month skiing again at Copper Mountain.
