Freeskiing World Tour at Snowbird Utah
There is nothing I miss more about living in Utah than skiing the Cirque runs at Snowbird.
Last weekend I was telling Ray about the difference between Utah and Colorado skiing. Colorado seems to have many more bumps along with more controlled areas to ski in. Where Utah has less moguls or bump runs, but has much more wide open, big mountain, freeskiing areas. Utah has runs that feel like you hike out of bounds to get to.
The Suburu Freeskiing World Tour recently stopped at Snowbird and I found the video online. See the Snowbird skiing video below. Keep in mind that the runs these extreme skiers are hitting are all accessible from the Snowbird Tram.
I’ve had a couple of the best ski days of my life hitting deep powder runs off the Snowbird Cirque. These freeskiers are amazing and go big.
Update: I just found another video from Snowbird. I believe these lines are off the Alta-side of Snowbird. Not directly lift accessible, but with a short hike you can ski these lines from Alta or Snowbird.
